Pricing Details

Declared Value Between $1.00 and $100: Insurance is provided free of charge.

Declared Value Above $100: The cost is a flat $2.50 plus $1.50 for each additional $100 of declared value.

Example Calculation

For a shipment with a declared value of $260, the insurance cost would be calculated as follows:

Base cost: $2.50

- Additional cost: $1.50 per $100 over the base value (2.6 units x $1.50 = $3.90)

Total Cost: $6.40

Insurance Coverage Limits

- Maximum coverage per parcel: $5,000

- Maximum coverage per shipment/order: $100,000

BYOR Shipments

For BYOR (Bring Your Own Rate) shipments, the same insurance guidelines apply. ShipTime handles the insurance charges, while the carrier manages the shipment charges.

LTL Shipments

Insurance is available for LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipments up to $5,000 per shipment.
